I understand and work well inside elderly and family oriented homes with busy schedules having a clean background and being a parent twice over myself. I can reduce project noise levels as possible, and keep job-site traffic and dust to a minimum or into slower phases - helping and accommodating families with neurodivergent members, or where there are general health and personal sensitivities.
How did my 25 years of combined experience in business, design and construction come about?
From always being curious. Curious to know how something works. Curious to know why something failed, and the want to be of service.
There is fulfillment for me in doing for others, and there is no better feeling than bringing about a safer living environment, making a home more accommodating to one’s needs, or bringing the emotional health of the home to where one feels nourished and enjoys how their home looks and feels.
I came to Bend young enough to remember Franklin Ave was a flashing light, and that Greenwood heading east on Hwy 20 was sagebrush after you rounded Pilot Butte. As with most all young high school graduates leaving was important and I started my construction experience in Butte, Montana 1993-96 doing drywall repairs, texture, painting, and landscaping working for an investment company based here in Redmond, OR.
Back to Bend Oregon 1996-99 managed a retail flooring store in Redmond, OR – sales, design, project management experience with carpet, vinyl, tile and wood flooring materials. Acquired additional sales and design experience with natural stone tile and slab granite, marble, and slate material.
1998-2011 Co-partnership in construction/office management, interior designing, spec home build, and a personal build of a 3-story 5000sq ft home in 2007.
2011 to current As a small business owner, increased my college education obtaining a BS in 2022. Expanded my ambitions into residential remodeling and repairs opening Creations and Repairs in December 2021. Acquired my CCB License, and began fully enjoying designing, renovating, and repairing homes in our beautiful local community as a Residential General Contractor through layered education, business, and building experience. I have deep community roots actively participating in events such a parades, fundraising events that benefit Saving Grace, and volunteering. I spend my down time is spent with family, biking, and hiking the Central Oregon region. If you’re interested in starting your project, or have several repairs that have been waiting.
